Lovely dog friendly tea room. The coffee and walnut cake was fabulous, my husband enjoyed his fruit cake. And the dogs loved their biscuit too. Proper tea room, with very tasty cake (proper portions) and tea served in China cups. ️️

Wonderful place. Highly recommended. Covid safe. We hadn't booked so a reservation is needed. Bit the lovely lady found us a slot and we were very thankful as others didn't have as much luck. This is a very popular place. Lots of hand held available. People spaced well. Service with masks and face shields. So all good. Loads of delicious food on offer. I had the full on ploughman's. And it was superb. Seriously enough food for two but for me it was a filling and delicious meal. Pork pie was off the scale. Meaty, delicious crumbly pastry. Jelly. Thick meat. With a blob of piccalily and hunk of brown bread it was awesome. Strong cheddar. Proper ham. All in all just delicious. Tea for two, big pot of Assam with a free refill. K had a beautiful cheese scones with cream cheese and chutney. She loved it but I made sure I had a taste and I can testify that it was wonderful as well. Funniest moment was mine host describing what Bovril is to a group of American (service wives?) Ladies having English Tea. Bovril is lovely. Who doesn't like that unctuous, beefy, rendered cow broth lol. Personally I love it. All in all a gem of a place and we shall definitely be a regular when we move to the area.

Three of us visited this morning after a quick pootle around the town. The spot is lovely, with a great view out the front and a lush little seating area out back. We all enjoyed warm cheese scones and were served by lovely ladies who knew lots about the area - good for all the visitors who like to hit up this beautiful town. It was nice to hear plenty of regular visitors in this morning too - not just a tourist hot spot. Would recommend for anyone after a hot drink and a bite.

Went there for a cup of tea and some food last weekend. Super cosy, very nice atmosphere, amazing and lovely staff that makes sure you have everytjmhing you need. Tea was lovely; we also ordered beef sandwich and ginger cake- both delicious. Will definitely be coming back! Highly recommend! :)

Visited this morning , 3 people and 1 large dog, a Great Dane. Made very welcome into the garden at the back, Tara, the Great Dane, was given a milk bone which she thoroughly approved of. We had very good coffee and delightful cakes along with fantastic service. If you are in the area it's well worth a visit
