He's always been good to me. He cuts through the noise to get to the core of the issue. He's a medical doctor, not your therapist. Go in, tell him what's up, he'll do what needs doing and you will be on your way. You don't need to like him. Although, I do, I know he can be tough. When seeing the number of patients that he does, you would be, too. I tried calling a few times in the last few days and the line seems to be off the hook. I hope that he and his staff are well.

Tries to swipe as many medicare cards a day, sounds condescending, rushes you out of his office. Unable to depict your actual problems and doesn't really care to. I don't ever want to see him, but sadly I have to when I'm literally faced with persisting problems and pain. Anyways, go see this guy at your own risk! He'll be nice to you if you're a hot chick, that's about it.
I have been a patient of Dr. Lau for many years. I don't like going to the doctor and have often gone years without seeing him. This past year however I've been a bit unlucky, catching a bad flu during the holidays, and getting sick again in the Spring. Whenever I do go to see him, it is because I am absolutely desperate, because I'm feeling terrible, and because there hasn't been any sign of improvement over a long period of time. The last 2 times I went to his office, Dr. Lau laughed in my face and made fun of me for sitting in his waiting room for hours when I'm "not sick". Rest assured that if I am in your office, it's not because I want the pleasure of your company or because I've come up with an imaginary ailment. It's because I'm feeling awful. I don't look forward to dragging myself out of bed and going to see you. In fact if I do appear in your office it's because I've temporarily ignored my common sense and believed you could actually help me. I don't expect that you will develop any compassion between now and the time you retire, so the purpose of my message is simply to warn people about you. Please don't waste your time going to see this doctor. He only wants to pass your medicare card. I also want to offer my sympathies to the secretaries who work for this pompous man.
He is incompetent, he doesn’t speak or read French , he doesn’t listen to anything, he’s rude and condescending, he doesn’t even exams you properly, he obviously miss-diagnosis you and gives you wrong medication. This doctor should not be practicing, he’s dangerous.

If you are registered with this doctor I suggest you request a change of doctor at RAMQ as quickly as possible. This doctor doesn't seem interested in listening or helping patients. They just want to swipe your medicare card and get you out of the office as quickly as possible, with little explanation as possible to help the patient. Dr.Lau will prescribe unnecessary medication very quickly to you and your children. Medication that could be more harmful than your original ailment. If you value your health you will not go see this doctor.
