The food at Lavagna is incredible; we were so impressed with the quality of our takeout order. We had the rigatoni, steak lavagna, scallops, and focaccia – highly recommend all of those. When we arrived to pick it up, they had kept it warm for us! Super friendly staff also. Make sure to order directly from their website (rather than the third party apps). We'll absolutely be back!

My favorite local Italian restaurant in the East Village
This has to be THE BEST Italian food I have tasted inside the city thus far. I believe I may have even met the owner, if he was just a manager then he need a raise. My party of 12 was very well taken care of. The wine never stopped flowing the food came on time, flavorful, & piping hot. Every menu item was explained in a way that made me want to order EVERYTHING. I'm definitely considering this as a go to date spot for the duration of my stay in NYC!
