Took this cable car from Wengen up to top of Mannlichen to hike down to Kleine Sheidegg. Took the train from Lauterbrunnen up to Wengen (pretty scenic train ride and free with Swiss Travel Pass - totally worth it!) and then about a 10 minute walk thru town to the cable car station. Paid the extra few dollars to ride on top of the cable car which was pretty cook if one has never done anything like that before. Was a clear day with great views and maybe in mid 70's. Was late June 2019. Great views from the top. Hiked down from there to the Kleine Sheidegg station and took the train back to Wengen. Note that the Kleine Scheidegg train to Wengen is not included in Swiss Travel Pass and costs about 15 or so per person. I think that is the half price fare with STP but not positive.
Very pleasant and smooth ride. Very friendly staff. The 'royal ride' option (extra 5 francs per person) lets you ride on an open platform on the roof; we did this on our second trip up and it was windy but fun. Views from inside the cart are also very good though.
Absolutely stunning - if you have time visiting lauterbrunnen, go up on this train
Amazing area that must be visited by anyine who goes to Switzerland. Authorities invest a lot of money into a new infrastructure: built rock solid.
Beautiful mountain, lifts are warm and fast. Lots of skiing options.
Awesome views from the top. While it is a bit pricey at about 32 CHF round trip, it's worth it to see the views from the top.
Never try the mänlichen run, they offer a free cable ride but you don't get it. And really bad service.
