I've been twice this season, the first time it was a very hot day and the fish weren't interested in feeding, tried it again recently with better results, caught loads of common and small mirrors around one to two pound plus a couple of larger fish. I had a chat with the owner who's a really nice friendly bloke, he told me he had recently restocked the lake with thousands of fish between one and four pound, these included mirrors, commons and F1's. The peg I fished was very shallow with only around eighteen inches of depth, the place is very clean and the guy who owns it has done a tremendous amount of work in a short space of time. The only downside I can think of is like many other places it closes at seven PM which during the summer months is a bit early, hence the four stars.

This place is now called Lake View fishery,near Thurcroft in South Yorkshire. Very well manicured setting, the lake has a long island running nearly full length. The pegs are very good,plenty of vegetation near pegs and on the island to target . The water was not very deep Sept 2020 at all,the new owners have restocked with alot of mainly F1s I was told.A few Biviy guys there,but it appears not to be over populated with specimen size carp (one 20lb-er) but who knows ? My mate and I struggled big time to catch on a ideal September day ?we only caught a few very small fish,mainly on banded pellet on a small ground bait loaded method feeder up to the island.The new owner is very friendly and a fisherman A few fundamental rules, but they must be adhered too,this we think does talking to a few regulars here.For my mate and i the biggest downside to this it shuts at 7.00pm in summer .Spotless, clean toilet.Good carpark just a hop to bank side. Honesty box for hot drinks sited in small unit for all to use . Nice place,work in progress and hopefully should get better. Impressive,accomdation being built they appear to be for holiday/short breaks .We will return when its Colder later this year 2020
