Good auberge food, but didn't quite have the edge for a fifth star.

One of my favourite restaurants in the Vézère valley. Wonderful Périgordine food in a traditional, intimate French Auberge setting. The Magret de Canard and Foie Gras are exceptional.
Authentic French cooking. Great food, wonderful setting, unbelievable value for money. The food is rustic rather than fancy. The portions are very generous, and the flavours are delicious. We found the service to be very friendly and efficient. Definitely go to Jeanine's if you get the chance.
Just like 7 years ago, excellent kitchen (with the exeception of the 2 older ladies )
Excellent traditional restaurant (duck specialities). Good value. Cosy ambience.
