Excellent choice for traditional Mexican food. The chorizo beans are awesome. And, the Spanish rice is superb. It is the best rice I've had in San Diego, very authentic. The rolled tacos are perfection. The tamales...I can't write a review of the tamales that would do them justice. The tamales are moist and filled with meat. I love tamales and I try them everywhere that I can. These tamales are some of the best I've ever eaten. And that goes for homemade from people that think they make the best. Nope, this place has some of the best tamales in Southern California. And I grew up in Los Angeles where they too have some of the best tamales. There will be a line but it is definitely worth the wait!

Absolutely awesome!! So while visiting San Diego, several locals told us about this place. BOY it didn’t disappoint!! The flour tortillas are OUT OF THIS WORLD! I had the roll tacos and my soon had the beans and rice. We also bought a stack of tortillas to take back home. Cash only, and there was a line down the street so come early! But will worth it :)

It is tucked into a little strip mall next to a gas station and a bit claustrophobic\u200b inside if it's busy -- many great pizzas on the menu that have all kinds of creative toppings. A pizza is big enough for one hungry person to consume, so don't think one will feed a group. Get a couple of different ones and share!

Honestly, I cannot believe I haven't reviewed Las Cuatro Milpas yet. Been coming here for years and let me tell you, there's absolutely nothing like it. Venture out to Barrio Logan and see what everyone's talking about. TIP: Go early or call ahead to minimize your wait. Pros: Absolutely bomb food!! Chorizo con juevo and rolled tacos will set you free. Gotta get these erry time! CHEAP cheap eats!! You can feed a family of four for less than 20 if you twerk it right. You'll be greeted and helped by 4-5 out of the same 7 ladies everytime you go. Great to see familiar faces. THE TORTILLAS!!! Consistent as the sun. Never had a bad meal out of the 50 times I've been here. The familial vibesssss... Cons: You'll probably have to wait in line for a while. But hey, if a place doesn't have a line, it's probably not that good. Parking can sometimes be hard to find so I suggest coming early. They close early. I believe it's 3pm or whenever they sell out. Order a couple of carne (pork) tacos on the side, you won't be disappointed. Enjoy!
