Where do I start ? From the minute you enter The Ritz-Carlton, it's like a different world. Coming to the restaurant 'Lantern', the ambience is amazing. Sufficiently lit up to the point which does not strain your eyes. We sat outdoors and there was sufficient greenery all around and to one side of our table there was water that kept on regenerating and falling down. The environment makes you feel relaxed and calm and that is exactly what I needed after a long tiring day at work. Coming to food, it was good, staff and service were exemplary and for the pricing - it does not matter as it's part of The Ritz. Definitely, check this out !!!

5 stars for the ambience and the exceptionally great service. special mention about Hugo chattange who took our order and made our visit pleasant and comfortable. food as well as drinks menu are vast. do check with the waiters if you want to know exactly what’s in your dish . they have a good idea of what they are serving. good to inform them earlier i you are visiting for birthday/anniversary. they make special arrangement for you on their own.
It was truly a luxury dining at Lantern, The Ritz Carlton, Bangalore. My friends and I came to enjoy our lunch after our Graduation was done. The ambience of this place is truly mesmerising. The staff is so professional and sweet. Art, who greeted us at the entrance of Lantern was a total sweetheart. Throughout our lunch, we were looked after very well. A special shout-out to Hugo who made us feel very comfortable and was very hospitable. The food was exceptionally good and the dishes were so exquisite and appetising. We had a very memorable time there and would love to visit again.
The place is cozy and chill. Good to hang out, they really have some talented bar tenders who keep experimenting with drinks and give you a nice experience. Food is also good but with limited options do try there mushroom soup made with red wine . Over all 9/10 in terms of experience and hospitality

Ambience: It's a Chinese restaurant but the theme wasn't at all chinese. If you're new to the restaurant you won't be able to tell that it's Chinese. Although the crew was wearing something chinese-y but not enough to make a statement. Even the music playing was pop/techno. Anyways, it was still cozy and is a very good place to enjoy food. Food: We ordered some mushroom dish which was very good, sweet and sour chicken which was amazing, although it was kinda hard to chew lol. And the rice which I loved the most, it was prawn something but we asked for the same dish but using chicken instead of prawns. Service: The restaurant knew that it was my birthday but we left without anyone even greeting me a happy birthday, not that we were expecting anything but it's basic courtesy for any company in the hotel industry to acknowledge and personalize the service for their customers especially a Ritz Carlton restaurant which is like the standard for extraordinary service. The crew was too formal, was tensed and stiff, definitely lacking that welcoming and warm vibe. The lights on our table kept going on and off, was very distracting so much so we couldn't eat in peace, crew and the manager came to apologize saying that the engineering was fixing something, my thoughts were - you shouldn't have allowed us to choose this table on the first place if you knew there was some fixing going on. Setting aside the not so Ritz Carlton experience, just wanna commend Anuj Bhattacharya, the assistant manager for checking on us and listening intently to our feedback. He even waived the bill for the sweet and sour sea bass that we ordered because we didn't really like the texture. Conclusion: Good restaurant for those who love Chinese food. I'm Chinese and I think the dishes were good. They are pretty flexible with their recipes, just tell them how you want your food to be done and they'll try their best to do it.
One of the good places to indulge in Chinese cuisine. The great attitude of the crew is an icing on the top!
