Had a walk around Lanchester after seeing news about their WW1 poppy displays. Incredible waterfall ( or should that be poppyfall) over doorway and in garden. Went inside to have cuppa and there was a display about residents who had served. Couldn't believe that 1st named was my namesake cos it's not that common a name. Maybe cousin of my grandparents? Fascinating but very moving. Friendly helpers made this a special visit.

Friendly people, lively place. Modern worship in the morning with a band; traditional evening worship with organ. The minister is a gifted preacher and good at getting things done by working with others. Other highlights include the cell groups, fund raising for charities and parties.
Friendly setting for a good cup of coffee and scone.
