Myself and mate Garry visited Lakeside for the first time today. Had a great day's fishing, had a good few carp and lost a few. Fantastic, picturesque water. Added bonus of good parking at the waters edge. Will be coming again.

First time on and dont get me wrong im a fisherman but not a single bite in eight hours with a least another 10 people getting the same result, no splashes or a single sign of fish and yet people have said has been a great place in the past. That's fishing!!..tight lines to you all!!
Nice place to fish,no toilet facilities, would expect for 7 and the last 5 visits has been extremely hard to fish
I've fished this lake a couple of times, it's by far the most aesthetically pleasing lake in the area. Its like fishing an in a large secluded field pond rather than a commercial. It's well kept but not overly managed giving it that special private lake feel. The owner (or the lady who walks the bank that I assume is the owner) is very friendly. Unfortunately though I've never done that well here where as at some of the other commercials in the area I've pulled out a lot but the days have still been enjoyable. 10 for 2 rods seems a little steep price wise given that competing lakes within a couple of miles are around 6. There is a lack of toilet and hand washing facilities and with the bait rules of no boilies, no ground bait, no pellets and no bread I wonder how even the most experienced of carp anglers manage to have a busy day on just sweetcorn!
Good place for a pleasure fish.
