Chicagoland SCUBA is my favorite dive shop in the Chicagoland area. I called to complete my PADI basic open water certification on short notice. They had me signed up immediately and in the water four days later (amazing!). Bill is an excellent teacher and diver. He made me feel comfortable in the water and taught me thoroughly, not just checking boxes, allowing me to be confident in my abilities as a diver. There was no shortage of good conversation between dives either. Katy is knowledgeable (she fitted me perfectly into my new gear with one glance), friendly, and professional. Overall, I was incredibly impressed. If you are looking for a dive shop with professional, friendly customer service and in-depth knowledge on all things diving, then Chicagoland SCUBA is the place for you!

My experience with Bill and Katie at Chicagoland Scuba began several years ago when my then 15 year old son expressed interest in learning to dive. The two of us completed our basic scuba course, followed in more recent years by our advanced open water and rescue diver courses. Our experiences have been outstanding and as a father I've been impressed and reassured by Bill's focus on safety and by his encouraging but firm approach to training. We have since taken several scuba diving trips and I've been very pleased with how my son's scuba skills have improved as a result of the training he's received. I am much more confident in his safety as a result. I can't say enough good things about Bill and Katie and highly recommend them for your scuba equipment and training needs.
The entire staff was friendly and helpful every step of the way. Bill made instructions easy to understand and made sure everyone was comfortable before moving on. It’s clear safety is their number 1 priority.
I would not go anywhere else to get scuba certified! Bill and Katy were INCREDIBLY accommodating and went above and beyond to work around mine and my father’s busy schedules to build our certification timeline. Bill, Ricky, Rich, and Matt were amazing during our open water dives. Chicagoland Scuba’s number one priority is safety and my father and I felt 100% comfortable with each aspect of the course. Bill, Rick, Katy and Matt took extremely great care of us during my wife's open water certification and my tune up. Their service is extraordinarily thorough and take care of any and every need you have.
