My boyfriend and I had a brilliant experience in October. Our instructor Joe was fantastic and the whole experience brilliant with his knowledge and patience. He took us to the best spots on the lake and explained the history of each site we visited. He also gave us some amazing tips on how to use the Paddleboard. My partner and I have been considering booking more experiences with Joe and/ or buying our own boards since booking this and I can’t recommend enough.

Great afternoon out on Windermere with Dougie. First time for me but plenty of time to get familiar with the board and see the River Brathay before more time in the lake. I would highly recommend
Brilliant time paddle boarding on Derwentwater today. It was beautiful even in the rain. The lake was like a mill pond. We were beginners but very quickly got on our feet and had a good tour around the lake and even learnt a racing turn. Fell in once but water was lovely and warm. Lake District Paddle Boarding are a great lot to get started with. Im nearly 60 and my daughters 25 and we both loved it and had fun.
We had a fantastic 3 hour private session with Dougie for our daughters thirteenth birthday. His instruction, encouragement and enthusiam were infectious and we were all instant SUP fans - so much so that we were looking to buy our own straight away! We were taught lots of skills and had a great time on the lake - inclucing helping to rescue an injured bird. Communication ahead of the session with the team was great throughout as we had to delay by 24 hours due to the weather conditions. We can highly recommend booking a session to give you the confidence to go it alone.
We found Lake District Paddle Boarding online, after searching for a water-based activity during our Lake District holiday. Cannot recommend them highly enough. We had a fantastic time paddling on Derwent water, our instructor was great, clearly love paddle-boarding himself and the feeling is infectious! and made the day completely about what we wanted to do, as and when we felt ready. Started with a short beginners lesson and within 20 minutes we were off across the lake! Great time had by all.
