For sightseeing it is a good place because it provide good view of ravi and Baradari park. But It is often crowded with to much traffic so crossing it has become a challenge for those who are in hurry i would not recommend it in evening for those in hurry. I often saw vehicles heating up on this bridge from traffic blockage.

Bridge on River Ravi.
There is most of time high traffic on new ravi bridge, and the reason is the police who are standing on toll plaza side and checking the vehicles specially those who come from outside the city. Just because of them, sometimes traffic is blocked from the half bridge to shahdara morr. Something has to be done about it, or government should build another bridge so people dont face such serious traffic problems.
Once it was great to pass through the Ravi Bridge. Now its marked by filth, scarvengers, unchecked superstitious activities and pond like flow beneath. Really sad spectacle.
