Best food, best service in Cherbourg .. packed with locals, very clean, great menu, excellent quality .. had steak one night, burgers for lunch on a other day .. reasonably priced .. friendly staff .. loved everything about this place!

For various reasons I have been visiting/travelling through Cherbourg for about 40 years and have visited all of the eateries at some stage. Cafe de Paris,Le Vauban,La Cale, Le Commerce etc... La taverene recently opened in the place of a failed pan-asian restaurant called le Taipan and has been transformed into a smart Brasserie with a simple but attractive menu. Good selection of wines. Chose 6 oysters from Fermanville followed by a Choucroute au Fruits de Mers. My wife had Dos de Cabillaud a l'aioli. Both were delicious. There was a small problem with the potatoes being undercooked in both dishes. An attempt to remedy this with new potatoes was unsuccessful. As a gesture of goodwill the bottle of wine was on the house. At all times the welcome and service was excellent, and the way our minor issue was dealt with was great. New restaurant with inevitable teething problems, but would recommend it as worth visiting

Accueil parfait, avec une bouteille d'eau de suite à table,ce qui n'est pas négligeable par cette chaleur. le service a été impeccable, ni trop long ni trop court, avec beaucoup de prévenance et gentillesse. Concernant le repas c'était excellent. J'y retournerai sans aucune hésitation !! Alors n'hésitez plus
Accueil très sympathique, bonne intimité entre les tables, le repas et le service rien à redire c'était très bien ! Nous reviendrons avec plaisir. ️️️
Très bonne cuisine thaï, des parfums comme dans le pays, piment en moins pour ceux qui ne supportent pas trop! Le patron est très sympa, très simple, prêt à communiquer ! Dès le déconfinement, j'y retourne, pour goûter d'autres plats !!!
