Came for my wife’s birthday dinner. Service was friendly and prompt - with a bit of character! We both had steaks, which were tender and delicious with possibly the best sauce poivre I’ve ever tasted. Perfect.

This was our first visit in a French steakhouse and we definitely have to state that it’s as good as the American ones! We had Bavette and Filet. Whereas the Bavette was a little bit boring, the Filet was perfectly done. Both rare and very good. The service lady was really motivated and directly forwarded our feedback to the Chef. We could see that because they have an open kitchen which basically is in the same room as the guests. Finally we got a Creme de menthe for free and had a very delicious dessert. Soupe de fraises and Café Gourmand. And all of that for 77! To be recommended!!!

Probably the best filet steak I've ever had. The staff are attentive and the host makes sure that you are spoiled. I will definitely be going back..

Appalling service, decent steaks but have had better in Ireland and England for sure. 1st night we tried to dine we hadn't booked as only just arrived but we're turned away as no reservation, although the restaurant was half full. We reserved and returned 2 nights later, booked a table inside (after they asked), they sat us outside, we asked for table inside and the waitress shouted absolutely not possible you should have booked. After a while they offered a table inside and they moved the wine and water, but took the wine (we think the owner drank it) and aggresively denied taking it. Eventually they replaced it. Very strange behaviour, they seem to cosy up to locals but give poor service to people from further away or not French.

This place is brilliant. We spent over two hours here one lunch time. Went for the á la Carte menu as we wanted to choose what to eat. They do a very reasonable set lunch time menu though. It seems to always be busy so booking can be a good idea! We started off with an aperitif of Muscat St. Jean de Minervois.... delicious. Then we had a starter of bone marrow and salt with crispy bread to spread it on.... delicious. For our mains we had a whole duck breast and a steak cooked in the wood fired oven situated in the main restaurant...... delicious. We finished off with a café gourmand of course. Washed everything down with a 50cl bottle of Minervois and two bottles of water. It came to 99euros. Very good for a delicious meal that wasn’t at all rushed and for good quality ingredients. P.s. I’d go for the baked potato rather than chips. It’s beautifully baked with sour cream and chives on it. The staff were lovely. The girl who served us was so jolly despite the temperatures being in the 30’s! The owner walks around all the tables and checks that you are enjoying yourselves, which hopefully you are!

I found La Table de Norbert on Google maps and after reading a couple of reviews and checking the photos I kind of knew this was the place for me. I made a reservation and got a table for 8pm the same day. It wasn't too busy at the time I arrived yet there was a pleasant atmosphere. The owner, Norbert was in the restaurant and came to say hello - he would check in on all his tables and where he knew the guests would grab a seat and have a chat. I love this about a lot of places in France where the owners are there And really part of the experience. Service was excellent and the meat locally sourced and amazing. I had 'The Norbert with marrowbone' which was delicious - it is a rather large piece of steak; so make sure you go hungry. All in all a great evening and I can highly recommend this as somewhere you'd find an authentic French dining experience in Carcassonne.

Booked a table for fifteen of us the night before my friends wedding. We all enjoyed our food so much. The steak was amazing and the bone marrow steak was up there with the best I've had. The waitress was so friendly and helpful despite the language barrier. A lovely local family restaurant would highly recommend.
