Really sad to write this review but TLDR — don’t go. My sister and I live a block away and have been a few times. I especially want to give money to Latin@ institutions during this difficult time, but this last time was the nail in the coffin. Food was C-, but service was literally the worst I’ve ever had in my entire life. We went out in the snow and ate outside as an attempt to give some extra and the waiter would not speak to us. We’d say thank you and he’d walk away. We’d ask for something and he wouldn’t respond. We gave a full 20% tip because it’s a pandemic and service workers deserve every dollar, but I would not pay this again. If you want decent Mexican food I can give you a list of places (ofrenda in the west village) where the food is at the same level or better and the service isn’t awful.

It’s kind of tucked away in residential neighbourhood and a bit of a walk from the metro, but if you are in the area and have appetite for some street tacos this is the place to go. We had a selection of tacos pork, beef, fish, and shrimp and each was very tasty. Complex flavours, well prepared and executed. Recommended. Low prices but cash only. Seems to be a local favourite too, but if you are a tourist and choose this place from reading this review drop me a like.

Family Fan

Great Mexican place that’s no frills, but delivers on good food with fair prices. Was in a pinch and not sure what I wanted and ultimately came here for the first time in a while and it was a great choice. Ordered 5 tacos and 1 of them was kind of boring but the other 4 were fantastic. Be warned, the tacos aren’t big, but are fairly standard sized for authentic tacos. Definitely coming back for more.

Best Mexican restaurant in Williamsburg by longshot, reminds me of DF street tacos. Solid margaritas too.

Super authentic and delicious! Beef tongue tacos highly recommended. It's a casual relaxing environment, things aren't overpriced and portions are generous. It's everything you want in a little mexican cafe!
