I spent two weeks in La Rochelle doing the 155 hours/week french course for the over 30s and I can only recommend it! The teachers were very competent and open to the different needs; The teaching method (focused on helping students starts speaking fluently asap) was very effective. The school was located near the beach and was easily accessible by bus. The school has organised extracurricular activities (such as cooking classes and cheese tastings) which allowed us to further practice the language in a fun way. In a fortnight I feel that I improved my level considerably.

I was in La rochelle for 4 weeks. It was a great time there. The teacher were really lovely and nice. The place were the school is is great next to the beach! I got to know new cool people. The trips were really nice. I would love to go there again!
I am writing on behalf of my children, aged 10 and 12, who attended a two weeks course at the school. Most likely due to the coronavirus crisis the classes were very small with a familiar atmosphere and my children enjoyed every day. They also made lots of progress. They had visited other summer schools, but this was the best one.
I am advanced French speaker and was very pleased with the instruction I received at Inlingua La Rochelle. The instructors were terrific, and I had three different ones (so I know.) In addition, the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. I would definitely return to improve my French even more.
Inlingua La Rochelle is an excellent school, very welcoming with friendly staff and a high standard of teaching. The classes are relaxed and fun with a focus on oral communication and comprehension and we covered a range of interesting subjects. The school offers a variety of extra curricular social events and excursions to local places of interest. I would definitely recommend Inlingua and I am planning to return for longer next year!
I enjoy my course so much I return every year! The structure of learning and activities enable me to attend solo and therefore I learn much more than I would if I went with a fellow Brit, as I am unable to continually lapse into English when I get lazy. However there are times Tom allows me a few lighthearted exchanges when I need a break!
This was my second visit to Inlingua in La Rochelle . I felt that the team listened to what I wanted to learn and placed me in an appropriate class, with only three other adult learners, which fabulous . The programme is relaxed but rigorous and I built confidence and knowledge through the week . I also enjoyed myself and I improved my conversational French. La Rochelle is such a great place to stay with so many different restaurants and things to do after school to practice French . I also went on a trip to a Huître farm organised by the school which was really enjoyable and educational . I will definitely be back to learn more
