La Porchetta Pollo Bar

Until the Coronapocalypse hit we used to eat there every Sunday with my daughter — we can't wait to return. The pasta is so good that once I finished a plate and felt like crying — and I know about pasta because I'm half-Italian. The waiters are always very kind — the chef always popped out to say hi to us. A lovely place that gets busy when the theatres are open but head there as soon as they open and you'll get a table with no problems. Hopefully this madness will be over soon and we'll be able to eat here again!

The restaurant makes you feel as if your at your nona’s (grandma’s) house. Where you feel happy eating your favourite food. Great easy going atmosphere, fantastically delicious food, ginormous portions and great prices for central London. Really proper Italian food! Miss it greatly now that is close due to the current worldwide events.

Visited this resturant for the first time last week. Pizza was amazing, healthy portions, great atmosphere and value for money. Staff were accommodating and I plan to return next week!

This is my favourite go-to place for homemade Italian food. It’s affordable (pastas are under 10), the portions are huge, the owner always welcomes you so warmly and is very friendly. The service is great too. Note: it gets incredibly busy and waiting times can be long because it’s so popular. There’s seating downstairs, but when coming in a group of 3 or more, be prepared to wait for a while. Aim to arrive before the big dinner rush at around 7:30, especially on Friday & Saturday. A table for one or two will most likely be seated a lot faster. Be warned, you may be tempted to order what the table next to you has ordered. Happens to me (and others) all the time! The food looks and smells amazing. Tastes fantastic too!
