Just had dinner there with my parents and brother and I can say it was a success. I did some research before choosing this place, and boy are we all happy (and we are difficult to please in matters regarding food hahaha). First of all the location is perfect. It is in front of the beach Des Sables d'Olonne and you can eat watching the ocean. The place itself is nice without overdoing it and reflects the charisma and quality that work there. Only thing I can think of is it can get a bit hot inside. The service was just impeccable, from the ordering, wine selection, cleaning after until our leave. The food...was simply incredible. They have 3 main menus at 18, 30, and 42euros and all of them will adapt to what price and experience you are willing to have/take. All of them have at least 3 dishes to choose from the different parts of the menu. They also have a special degustation menu if you want to try their best dishes. It's 56 euros that is basically a menu that everyone shares (since you all eat from the same base, you all have to pay the same price). The drinks are paid apart from the menu. We all tried the different plates from the 30 menu and it was exquisite. I highly recommend the foie gras or salade langoustine as first. The cocotte, or lamb, or tuna as main, and the chocolate fondant as desert. These were the great winners for us but both the taste, textures, portions, etc of every dish were above average. I highly recommend this place if you enjoy high quality food, and don't want to or can't spend over 70 to eat gourmet food with small portions of food. The quality and freshness you will get here is worth it. Hope this was helpful, cheers all, and peace out.
Devenu surfait. Bizarrement les menus les moins chers sont bien plus à la hauteur que les plus chers. Très peu d'originalité. L'enseigne a vieilli et l'engouement des commentaires parait bizarre quand on parle avec les sablais, l'image de ce restaurant ne correspond plus aux remarques trouvées sur le net. Etonnant les réponses parfois limite insultantes des patrons sur les sites spécialisés quand d'autres clients émettent des critiques plutôt proche de la réalité. Dommage le restaurant est bien placé. Avis posté en juillet la réponse du propriétaire en dessous prouve bien que ce sont des pauvres gens ! Si la crise vous emporte, on n'ira pas se plaindre et oui j'ai des photos de mon repas chez vous !!!!
Il n'y a pas de terrasse dommage juste en face de la mer. L'intérieur est sombre mais guère plus que l'accueil. Repas de qualité, prix raisonnable mais la patronne est infecte.
Le menu \Sur le pouce\ à 18 est déjà attrayant avec amuse bouche, entrée, plat et dessert. Pour l'anniversaire de ma femme, nous avons pris le menu \De saison\ à 32. Le choix est large à chaque étape du repas. Nous sortons pleinement satisfaits. Les différents plats étaient pleins de saveurs et en quantité très suffisante. Le service est rapide, efficace et convivial. Nous habitons à moins d'une heure de La Pilotine, nous ne manquerons pas d'y retourner et de recommander cet établissement à nos amis.
Nous avions une table face à la mer. Les plats du menu de saison étaient excellents. Très bon accueil et service rapide. Je le conseille.
Pour ce restaurateur, l'essentiel est sa clientèle .... c'est la raison pour laquelle j'ai répondu ce week-end à son appel et j'ai commandé pour mon épouse et moi-même un repas complet. Que du bonheur ..... j'en salive encore .... Merci au chef .....nous reproduirons cette expérience pendant le re confinement en attendant de nous attabler dans ce restaurant.
