Started with an endless supply of corn chips and salsa. Refried beans were available for the asking. Generous portions of good tasty food with one order being gluten free. Good service and friendly staff. Older building and the outside could use a coat of paint but does not detract from the fine meal. Fair and competitive prices. Not an upscale restaurant but clean.
We live near Joliet so we always go to La Mex on Jefferson. Since they have only carry out right now we drove out to La Mex in Morris for a late lunch/ early supper. Our first time at this location. Nice and clean with a nice friendly waitress. I tried the Aztec Chimi. It was excellent. I'm very impressed now nice this place is and the food was great. We'll be stopping in here again soon. We been back here numerous times since and the food has been great every time.
Called to confirm the website info that said done in was available. Was told No. No dine in. So we order our food, and my hubs picks it up. He sees many people dining in. Asks why we were told that there was no dine in. No answer to that question. I ordered a pork chimichanga with no beans or rice. The chimi was so spicy I could hardly eat it. I've NEVER had a chimi that was spicy in my life! The whole order was super disappointing.
Food was delicious but service was awful didn't get waters right away at least 15min just a group of 3 of us ladies at a table. I think our tix was forgotten that's why it took an hour plus to get our food. We were there 2hours and my friends Bill's were messed up. I would go 1 more time to see if service is better waitress wasn't new either from what assist manager said. I've worked as a waitress many yes and was very disappointed in service she also didnt check on us very often either.
