La Mar Salada Restaurant

Very good restaurant, with a very nice staff. It is more a \gastronomic\ restaurant, with not that much in the plate, but it's very good. Recomand the menu.

Came here last month. The seafood paella was delicious and so tasty!!! But pricey, 40 euros...it's for 2 people, you can't get a single serving. We started with 2 prawns...they are 5 euros each. And the skin was deep fried. I didn't understand that, we had to peel the skin. Wish we didn't get the prawns as a starter... pricey. Besides that service was fine. Sat on the patio...looked nice inside. It's on a busy street near the beach.

Our waiter was very friendly and professional. The food was good but I can't help feel like they've slipped a bit too much into the tourist trap that is on that street. So many of the neighbouring restaurants are average and non authentic and La Mar is better than those but maybe needs a little refinement on flavours. The steak was quite good but I would like to see sauces available and various side dishes because this left the dish feeling a little lost for me. All in all a positive experience though.

As always, fantastic food and good service! Also very good attention when coming with kids! To me the best “local” place in this touristic part of Barcelona!

We enjoyed the lunch so much that we immediately booked a dinner reservation for the following night. There are so many touristy restaurants in a line along this area but La Mar Salada is in a different league. As the saying goes, you pay for good quality and the value is certainly present for this restaurant. Excellent service from start to finish, focussed on details to magnify your culinary experience and the flavors are there on point for every dish served. Great restaurant and great people that work there ! Our next visit to Barcelona we will be back for lunch and dinner, well even for breakfast if they served that too.
