Good food and good sized portions. I get their giant tacos and always leave satisfied. One of the better tomato based salsas around town.
According to their sign. They are The Valleys #1 Tex-Mex Restaurant. Let's see. Presentations of the food looked great. The Tampiquena plate was ok. The beef fajita was seasoned and very good and semi chewy. Onion and green pepper were undercooked. The crispy Taco and the enchiladas were ok uneventful tasting. Rice and charro beans were good. The Crispy flautas, panchos and refried beans were bland. For it to claim to be the best Tex-Mex restaurant in the Valley. I disagree. So if you want ok tex mex food. Go for it. One thing I can say is that the waitress was friendly and prompt.
I went to eat here yesterday for the first and probably the last time. I ordered a caldo de res, don’t get me wrong it tasted great but there was one problem. The caldo had no meat as you can see on my photo... well by looking at it from the top. I thought maybe they were going to bring the meat on the side or something but nope. I snapped a pic and put my spoon in to hunt for the smallest piece of meat. I was super disappointed. They gave me about 7 tortillas & I only ended up using 2 & even then they were 2 skimped out tacos. The manager was asking people how the food was when they were leaving but when I was done he was on the phone. if I wasn’t in a rush I would’ve waited for him to tell him myself. I ended up asking for a cup to go, didn’t eat the rest of the soup & went out to eat somewhere else. I still left a tip to the lady it’s not her fault they were stingy with the meat. I was really rooting for This place I had always wanted to try it but I don’t think I’d give it another shot to be disappointed again.
If I could put zero stars I would. Unfortunately the service was horrible and the drinks were basic not worth the hype for the best micheladas. On top of that it looks like there was under age girls serving alcohol and they pretty much robbed us of a little over 400 because we had discussed to only make a certain amount for our party and they ended making all the parilladas. They even had the audacity to still charge us. Over all never book anything with them EVER!!!!!!!
