A \hole in the wall\ kind of place, but what a hole! Tacos: carne asada, chicken, all kinds of meats, cooked and prepared to perfection. My personal favorite: \pollo planchado\ combo. A chicken flat ironed/grilled and so good! Bonus on tortillas with it, warm, soft, good size, hand-made taste and quality. Don't forget to ask for limes and radishes for added flavor and crunch! Enjoy the chile!
Terrible customer service. The lady taking my order complained about the fact that I asked what their meat option were for tacos. She huffed and sighed in annoyance when I stuck with my original choice of carne asada, when I was taking the order for someone on the phone. Food quality isn’t that great either. Wouldn’t recommend, you’re better off getting better bang for your buck elsewhere.

Driven past more times than I could possibly count. Today, after running errand in Berkeley, I searched Yelp for home-style Mexican food and La Estrella was highly rated so I went. I was thrilled to finally try it.
