We were highly disappointed with the service we received. We are first time homebuyers. We went to this location after receiving a pre-approval. We never got to view any homes. The salesman, Rich, essentially told us that our loan package would not be enough for him to work with. We even had to sit through a long spill about potentially dropping the heat pump feature in order to save money. Who in the world would want to live in a brand new house without any heat or air. He also super inflated the costs of setup and installation. I'm not sure if that day was a bad day for him but we left with the impression that he was not interested in serving us! He did everything within his power to discourage us from moving forward. We were not deterred. We reached out to Clayton Homes of Roxboro, NC. The experiences were like night and day. Kathy is a dream to work with. She was more than willing to find us the house of our dreams. We are currently waiting for a closing date. She never led us to believe that our loan package was insufficient. We even get to keep the heat pump, lol! I definitely would not recommend going to Clayton Homes of LaCrosse. Rich was the most discouraging, non-motivated salesman that I have encountered.
Poorest, slowest customer service ever, the GM keeps putting off for tomorrow what can be done today to get my daughter and son in law in their home that was purchased from Clayton's last April 2018, from a poor manager that did not do his job either. That Clayton office is now closed and the South Hill office has had responsibility for the double wide install since October 2018 and my daughter/son in law and 3 kids are still waiting. This GM and office has been dragging their feet and blaming weather and his contractor's for every delay under the Sun. This is not good customer service and I hope none of the other home owners who bought houses from the closed Clayton office are still waiting and being told to be patient and keep waiting!!!
Tabitha is very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. She addressed all of my concerns and made me feel very welcome! I would recommend her to anyone looking to purchase their new forever home.
My wife went there to look around and was told she couldn't. Funny there website says you can either make an appointment or walk ins are welcome. Perhaps she wasn't dressed to impress so they thought she didn't have any money. We bought 2 1/4 acres with cash and are trying to decide which home we want. This is the last place I would recommend to anyone!
