We ordered the Frito Misto and the daily fish (Daurade that day) the frigo misto ( deep fried fish) was good but very oily and not instantly fried. The durade was fresh but was not grilled as announced. Rice was old. The soft drinks were served in cans (not bottles as any restaurant) and we payed 5 for it! Good at first glance but will not come back.

The place is very nice and staff is helpful. We had mussels and fries, portions were very generous but it was not the best I had in my life. I am sure you can find better places for this specific dish, but the rest of the menu looked very appealing and probably more interesting.

Very nice place along the vieux port. Very friendly staff and good home-made food (the fries are delicious). Good price for the moules/frites. Kid friendly options. Very generous plates. Music a little too loud.

Nice meal, owner is really friendly. Service was quick as we were in a hurry for a flight. Recommended

Came to Marseille for a weekend and arrived late in the afternoon so I decided to look up something for lunch that wasn’t over the top expensive but also not kebabs or fast food. I stumbled upon La Cigale on here so it’s only fair that I keep the ball rolling and do the next traveler a solid. In short: Eat here! If you’re staying around the Vieux Port area, it’s in a perfect location directly across the dock area and the food is spectacular. My friend and I went there twice in row. We got the fried seafood platter, the mussels (marinières) and the next day we went back to try the bouillabaisse since Marseille is known for it. Their fries are some of the best I’ve ever had. And the owners are so, so, so, kind, warm, welcoming and they’ll chat you up if you’re a foreigner! You won’t regret coming here. If ever back in Marseille, I’ll be sure to return!

Nice location, good sea food. Prices were good for what we got. The beer was, I think, expensive (9 euro for a 0.5l bottle of French beer).

One of the best restaurants in the port. Everything I ordered is nice prepared and delicious. The staff is kind and helpful. Prices are average for restaurants in the city. Recommendation
