Visited with 2 young boys. Lovely little Chateau currently under development so not all spaces open to explore. However lovely grounds where u can picnic and explore the woods and some children's games. You need to venture a little into the woods, there are footpaths everywhere so go off the beaten track a little. Good vegetable gardens worth a walk through, couple of sunloungers to relax on in the grounds. Small cafe, we got crepes for 3 euros. If u visit other Chateaus in the area they offer a discount. A little pricier than most but overall worth it.

Place was closed even though advertised as open. We called them the day before and left a message to say we were coming and no one telephoned us back.
This is not a Chateau on a grand scale However we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Delightful garden and grounds. Helpful staff. Cans of drinks, tea and coffee on a 'help yourself' ad hoc basis.
Great place, was there on a cloudy and rainy day but was still extremely impressed by the gardens. The castle itself is remarkable and well maintained. One of the things that I think is unknown is that you can find one of only 230 coelacanth specimens in the world here in the lower section of castle. It's a rather remarkable fish that I hope more people will recognize the significance of when they see it! It's presence is very understated but I thought it was remarkable even in the face of all the other remarkable pieces of history found here.

The potager was fascinating, and the chateau ok. But the entry price was very high for very little compared with other sites.
Chanced upon this little gem driving down through France off the toll roads... and what a refreshing tonic it proved to be! The gardens are especially charming, and the castle looking out over the water is suitably impressive and elegant. Even though it was a gloriously sunny day, there weren't many visitors, so exploring was as magical as one could have wished.
