Tucked away in a brownstone on the Upper West Side, La Boite en Bois has been a favorite among diners since 1985. With its rustic ambiance, diners are made to feel as though they are in a bistro in the French countryside. Only three blocks away from Lincoln Center, we offer a pre-theater menu. Serving classics from Escargot to Salmon to Roasted Duck to Mussels, you will be delighted with our extensive selections. We serve lunch everyday, with a variety of salads, soups, panini, and classic French dishes, such as Croque Monsieur, Seafood Crepes and Onion Soup. We also offer a prix-fixe lunch menu from Monday to Friday. Come Saturday and Sunday for our Brunch, and enjoy Eggs Benedict, French Toast or a La Boite Burger. After a visit to the Apple Store on the Upper West Side, we sauntered over and ate outdoors here. Nice setup and terrific food. We had the chicken scallopini and crab cake salad. Loved them both. The staff was very careful and wore masks throughout. Highly recommend and we will be back!

Real good France foods, Not so sophisticated, fresh and tasty as a neighborhood France restaurant should be. Highly recommended.

Delicious food and great service! Has a nice outdoor wooden structure with individual heaters so nice and warm.

We went here for an impromptu dinner and were met with excellent service from Patrice and even better food. The menu proposes a twist on the salade niçoise with salmon instead of tuna. The moules were exquisite and prepared in a garlic white sauce with added tomatoes that provided a light sweetness to the dish. Highly recommended. The chocolate mousse for dessert is not to be overlooked !

I went to La Boite En Bois for the first time this summer and loved how perfectly executed and rustic the food was. At that time I ordered the lam stew which was divine. Notably- there was zero gristle in the lamb (which is expensive to do because you have to cut it out and many places don't do this), and I very much enjoyed it. When I saw they had a restaurant week deal I HAD to indulge. Hello week day luxury!!! My fiancée and I ordered the half chicken and Dijon salmon and WOWwwwww!!!! Perfect in every way. The flavours, quality of emulsion, freshness, execution, presentation, everything was amazing. We shared as it would have been terrible to not have an opportunity to try both. I loved the cous cous with the salmon which had amazing flavour and the spinach was cooked in a decadent but not goopy way. The chicken was incredibly tender and the potato wedges were very well seasoned, the Julianned veggies fresh, al dente--- exquisite! I cannot wait to try the rest of the menu!
