Fabulous food and huge value for money. Outdoor seating is a quiet spot next to a church. The salmon was superb, as was the octopus. We left full after 3 courses. Great service and a great little place.

Very quaint and unpretentious restaurant. The menu is written on a board which they will set by your table. Everyone dining there was French. They were very nice to us tourists though. One of the ladies there spoke English and was very helpful. The food was good and the portions generous.
We got it right again! Lovely evening at La Bistrote. The formula for finding a good restaurant is simple, leave the main streets alone and get digging around in the back lanes. These small independents know what they are doing, they were turning people away later in the evening even though tables were available, clearly focused on service rather than volume.
No fancy concept, just traditional French bistro food done very well.
This is a small family run restaurant. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items. Ordered some of the specials. The food was excellent! Loved the location in a smaller side street and ate my diner in their cozy patio area right next to the church walls. Would come back again in the future.

Absolutely love this gem, tucked away on a street just near the beautiful Ste. Anne. Lovely terrace to sit out at during the summer evenings and a very cozy interior for a more intimate meal with friends. Each time we eat there we’ve had a fabulous experience. Recently, however, they amazed us even more. We had vegan friends in town and wanted to take them out for a meal in Montpellier where we could eat all together (as we are not vegan). I called ahead and they told us it would be no problem at all - they would make a vegan plate special for them. Our vegan friends were so pleased, their meal looked incredible, I even thought I’d love to give their meal a try another time.
