We got the chicken enchiladas and they were so good! We tried both the red and green sauce and both were great. Super friendly and attentive staff too. The place was very cleaned and followed all the COVID safety and cleanliness measures.

L & J's sure packs a ton of flavor! Parking in the area was a bit of a chore, since it's such a popular dining spot. Fortunately, you can always default to parking in front of the nearby cemetery if needed, which guarantees that you're never parked more than a block or so away from the restaurant. Our server was so helpful and checked in with us frequently. The complementary chips are crispy and come with the mildest green sauce I've ever had, as well as a curiously seasoned red sauce- not at all spicy, but surprising with a punchy paprika. We ordered their renowned green chile chicken enchiladas, which was every bit as delectable as we'd hoped. Tender, juicy chicken and delicious, soft hatch chillies that aren't at all spicy, but add lovely texture and flavor to the dish. Rice and beans were on-point. Based on other reviews, we also tried their picadillo burrito, but were a little disappointed by this choice. The meat was seasoned heavily and the salt in this dish is overwhelming. It's a shame because the flavor is otherwise quite yummy. We had to leave it unfinished in the end. Overall, we enjoyed our experience here and would certainly recommend this local joint for delicious eats (particularly those enchiladas!).

Went to eat lunch, must say it wasn't as busy as i thought, service was quick. Was greeted asap, offered table, menus, drinks. Server was most polite and always there to make sure everything was ok. Food was brought rather quickly and was delicious as always come to expect from this restaurant. Left with a full belly Thank you.

This restaurant has deliciously fresh food, along with great service. Alex, our server was attentive to all our needs. The restaurant is following all social distancing rules. My dinner of chicken Floutas were cooked to perfection. And the guacamole just hit the spot. Unfortunately, the platter was large, and I wished I took some of my dinner to go. Which would have given me room for dessert. I love flan. I guess I will know better next time.

Great Mexican food! Ended up at L & J at the recommendation of a local. Boy we’re we pleased. The very modest exterior belies and neat and well decorated restaurant whose air is filled with the smell of deliciousness. Chips and salsa are excellent - thick and fresh. We had the steak tacos with fried tortillas and a side of queso. Nice presentation and dynamite taste. Will be back next rime we visit. EP
