This statue stands in tribute to Kaiser Wilhelm II, the last emperor of the German Empire before it's dissolution after the First World War. The statue is a larger than life equestrian statue of the emperor in his military uniform, probably his Field Marshal uniform as he is also holding a Marshals baton in his right hand, while the left is holding onto the reins of the horse. On his head, he wears a helmet decorated with the Reichsadler, which is the name of the Imperial German Eagle. A very majestic statue and is located on south side of the Hohenzollern Bridge, on the west bank of the River Rhine.

On the left bank of the Hohenzollern Bridge is the only equestrian statue depicting Emperor Wilhelm II (1859 - 1941). From 1888 until the revolution of 1918 he was the last German Emperor and King of Prussia. The equestrian statue of his father, Emperor Frederick III, is also on the western side of the bridge.
