Elissa at the front desk was incredibly helpful and friendly. I told her I needed finger prints. She gave me quick instructions, grabbed an officer, and I was out in 5 minutes. Thank you!!

Bad, bad, bad experience with 1 of their dispatch units the other one was verrrrrrry nice! When you mention something to some of them about law enforcement, they say that they don't care! Some are Verrrrrrry unprofessional, lacking understanding. They want to force you to do something and it should not be this way. It should be up to the citizen to report something, giving them information pertaining only to the subjet of enforcement and nothing else, if the citizen chooses this option. Not to force information from a citizen who feels uncomfortable about giving additional information that could put the reporting citizen at possible risk of danger. Stay to the facts and leave it at that. Don't be a rookie, novice or unprofessional about it. Just enforce all laws, Even when it comes to Parking Issues! You are the law on campus, prove yourselves!

Alyssa, the receptionist, was incredibley rude. Going to the KU public safety office should be an experience that doesn't include being talked down to like your situation is pointless and stupid. She interrupted me multiple times and was argumentative and aggressive. How can you expect anyone to report something to someone so rude and judgmental. She made me feel as if I was an inconvenience for trying to retrieve a lost item turned into the department. She then informed me that I could not get it until Monday...it was Friday morning. I've generally had great experience with the men and women working as campus police but you should consider a different receptionist. Imagine if I had come to report a crime and she had acted this way. Unacceptable.
