4 Yrs back I had to stay there in dormitory as i was insisted by my friend . I was shocked atI the very rude behaviour of the person who was at reception . I dnt knw his name bthis imageis still in my mind,. He might b the receptionist. At first he was not willing to talk to us saying tht rooms r not avlbl. Upon my friend's request he talked to us aftr 20 minutes s .He behaved as if the bhaban is his fathers' property. I was about to complain against his rude behaviour,

It's economical and nice. But food is a bit oily. Spicy food lovers will like it.
This place was really good! Friendly staff, nice rooms which were pretty hygienic too. The food was great, it almost felt like eating at home. An amazing place at a really cheap rate!

Any new thing is exciting for tourists or visitors and hence when I had first Assamese lunch here, I really felt excited as a tourist. Courteous set of staffs, overall good ambience I liked.

Very nice homely stay and good delicious Assamese food available. However the room service segment can be improved. Having said this you will not regret staying in Assam House, Kolkata. TRY IT! STAFF ARE COURTEOUS AND FRIENDLY
