This is the first restaurant we tried in Kofu. We had the the famous Yamanashi houtou for lunch. The taste was quite good but the volume of food is a bit too much. Nonetheless our overall experience was positive.

Tasty! Many variations of the signature dish; worth trying. Timeless atmosphere and cheap drinks list. This is a fun place to have dinner and the food is good and worth trying the Yamanashi speciality. Recommended
Great food and service. Definitely a must visit when in Kofu
Traditional Hoto noodles are THE thing to eat here. Close by to the station and with plenty of affordable parking nearby, the access is great. We tried the boar, pork and curry versions. All were huge servings.
If you want to try something different try the Bashimi. It’s raw horse served with rice, miso soup and a few servings of mixed vegetables. Goes great with a beer or two. Only downside is it can get very crowded on the weekends, but I guess that’s because people know the food is great.
