Beautiful space with delicious food. Great place to try kaiseki. Staff were lovely and provided simple explanations in English.

Spectacular meal overall. Although, I liked 室町 (Muromachi) even better in terms of meal quality. 高台寺 had an highly exclusive atmosphere.
It is top notch! One of the best kaiseki tasted. Superb service with machiya-style ambience. Most of the dishes, a dedicated chef cooked right in your room, so you could enjoy the cooking process and smell before being served. Ensure you book Kodaiji Wakuden, as the establishment has a few restaurants in Kyoto.
