It was great to get out with the family but unfortunately everyone had the same Idea. The pathways are very busy but there is plenty of space to explore away from the crowds if you take some suitable footwear. The shop is open and you can get a coffee and a snack to eat on the outdoor benches but the courtyard was crowded and social distancing was not being observed. I think the house and restaurants are closed at the moment but we kept our distance anyway. The grounds are pretty muddy due to the weather so if your walking a dog be prepared to clean them off before you get back in the car.

Whist very busy one you get out from the central area (car park, toilets etc) there is plenty of wide open spaces for you to enjoy. If you want some food there is a restaurant for take out only at the moment and a food van in the car park. There are wild deer in the estate if you're lucky enough to see them, there is also a mansion to visit along with a farmhouse and vast gardens when permitted due to covid restrictions

Booked online to visit at the end of Nov. Weather was cold but calm. Enjoyed a walk around the parkland before Iunch. We had taken a packed lunch and hot flask and able to sit at one of the picnic tables. After lunch we had a lovely walk through the formal gardens where staff were dressing some of the trees with decorative Christmas lights. Good to be able to enjoy some exercise and fresh air with the back drop of great scenery.
