What a great time. A beautiful Christmas tree decorated everywhere. A man playing guitar and a proposal. Beautiful downtown Dallas. Good to see people out. The kids playground is still closed. You can still catch a street car uptown and see the sights. The restaurant in the park is closed but plenty of food trucks if you are hungry

Visited 11/30/2020. At about 830pm it very quiet in the city. The park had a few people sitting at the benches. The park was very well lit. It was very nice. I would love to come here when they have live music on the stage. We were picked up at the park by the Trolley service that runs through the city for free \PLEASE DONATE TO THE TROLLEY\ they do us a service for free and ask for nothing in return other than your donation. Our conductor was very knowledgeable about the trolleys history and dimensions, specifications. It was very nice to have some one like that on the trolley.
Nice park. The kids enjoyed the park, the weather was great and plenty of room for activities. The park has several restaurants and food trucks around. Parking might be challenging. If you can go with the DART or shared ride might be easier. We will go there again although we come all the way from Plano, we love this park. It is also walking distance to the ART museum, Dallas symphony and other places.
There is dog park area/section if you want to bring your dog. There is also a fountain, and tables and chairs which are perfect for hanging out and having some snacks or drinks. If you have kids also there’s a grassy area with plenty of room for them to play around.
Certainly one of the best parks in Dallas, and in the summer months, there's certainly plenty to do. Food trucks cater to a wide variety of tastes, a putting green and my very favorite of all, the enormous theater area at one end which is used for a number of different musical performances; my personal favorite being the summer jazz series. All of this built on a landscaped area which literally covers a good portion of the freeway. Definitely a must see.
