Our 10 year desktop decided to not work one day. This is a first for us. Tech Defence is in my neighbourhood, so I made a phone call. Howard was very informative on the phone, so I took the unit to him. I was greeted by Derek, who was also friendly and helpful. That day he called me to say it was the power box and it was ready to go with only a 30 charge!!! WOW!! When I picked it up, he was again friendly and helpful and you just knew you could trust him. He also said the unit was ready for retirement and not safe to use for email, banking etc. due to only having Windows XP. He gave great advice on where to get a new/refurbished unit and what minimum requirements are for my needs. He saved me a lot of money fixing this unit and looks like he will save me more with the advice on a new purchase! I now have a \Computer Guy\ I can trust, I like and will recommend. Thanks Howard and Derek! Tech Defence is great!
I called for information on service and instead of taking my money he recommended purchasing a new one as mine is 10 years old. Howard is informed and honest!
I have found Howard to be very knowledgeable and helpful. In the past I have gone to him for repairs on my computer, for some in house specialized training and I have taken his classes at Forest Heights Community Center Howard explains procedures very clearly & he works with you until you understand it. I am glad I found someone I can rely on.
