Just had butter chicken meal with rice and a double. It was delicious and filling. Definitely go back there again. Very clean and organized business.

I visit this restaurant often when I am in Kitchener. I visited recently and saw the reviews by Lisa Smith & Jack Jones (who appear to be the same person and fake google accounts) and I decided to post my review. I spoke with the owner related to the Halal issue in question. She buys all her meat from Halal suppliers and even has documentation to prove which supplier she bought it from. I asked her if they sell any pork and they don't. So essentially all their food is halal. The owner is a very nice lady (speaks fluent English, if that matters) and does not know a lot about halal. She thought that for food to be halal it also has to be cooked a certain way or cooked only by Muslims. She didn't want to mislead anyone so that's why she removed the Halal certificate but in actuality all the food is halal *based on my observation*. I find it extremely annoying that someone would go through the trouble to make google accounts to write a dishonest negative review for a restaurant at a time of COVID and rather than supporting small businesses is trying to damage them. You may eat halal food, but I think you need to look in the mirror and act like a "Muslim" / Decent Human Being also. It's extremely upsetting to see that review and the fake names / profiles you created to damage a hard working small business with your dishonest review. I strongly suggest you delete your review, act like a decent human being and visit again and talk to the owner and write a new honest review (even if it's bad, but make it honest and preferably with your real name). Now on to the food & service. Their food is very delicious and the service I have never had an issue with. Every business owner can have an off day, working long hours, but I've never had this issue that Lisa / Jack are mentioning.
I just discovered this place and it honestly has one of the best shawarmas in town. The portions are extremely generous. The shawarma poutine is also out of the world as well. The place is clean and the staff are super friendly. They also offer a halal menu with certification. I would highly recommend and if you’re local, then please drop by for some tasty Indian/Caribbean Cuisine!
This has become our new favorite place for Shawarma! Their garlic sauce is amazing and their pita bread is perfectly grilled. Plus they have cheesecake for dessert. No complaints at all!
I visited this establishment and I totally agree with the assessment from Jack Jones. When we arrived we asked several questions that the lady did not understand as I believe she didn't understand English. Asked several times if the meat was halal and she said chicken yes but we were asking about all the meat and she said yes all then said chicken again. Asked if there was anyone there who spoke English and she started mumbling and became very rude with us. I read your reply back to Jack Jones and if all your meat is Halal then how can it be you do not cook Halal food??? This does not make sense. If people understand that then I must be part of the minority who doesn't understand!!! The lady that day DID NOT speak English and did give attitude. I see most of the reviews were written long before new ownership and is bang on with the service of the old ownership. It was always a pleasure. I know I will not go back again. I was very dismayed at the total change and with the treatment that we received.
I use to go when the previous owners where there. The new owners hardly spoke English & also had a bad attitude when I asked of the food was halal. She hesitated & gave a me half arsed answer of yes this & that is. So I tried my best to ask where the Halal sign was, she again mumbled something & gave no clear answer. Overall, it’s wasn’t the lie, but the bad attitude she gave me & my friend it put us off going there for good. I don’t recommend it at all. I wouldn’t trust their hygiene either, the kitchen didn’t look clean. Good luck if you’re going to eat there. Why can’t I leave a no star rating?
Tried this place because I always wanted to try doubles. Glad I did. My SO and I had the butter chicken roti and a double each. The roti was absolutely packed and incredibly flavourful. The roti was light and tasty. The double was also packed. Very tasty. Spiced for flavour not to blow your head off. This was a pick up order. Staff were friendly. Definitely a place worth checking out.
I tried falafal wrap and salad it was amazing. Now It has become one of my favourite places. Staff was helping and friendly.
