I lived with Jamaicans throughout college and it's a great culture. Very friendly and welcoming. I've tried both Jamaican restaurants in the area and I prefer the food at Passion Flavours rather than Rainbows. Why? 1. Atmosphere. 2. Food 3. There's nowhere to park around Rainbows because it's downtown. And 4. There's awesome parties here often.
Amazing food, wonderful service, and affordable. I've never had something there that I didn't like. It's a good thing I don't live close or I would be about 50 pounds heavier.
Delicious food , great service. I had a curry goat dinner and it was mouth watering. I will be returning soon
Unfortunately the owner and staff are horrible in terms of customer service. They do not know how to speak properly to customers, they take their time serving you nor do they great you kindly. Outside of my experience, a friend went into this establishment recently and was givin the 3rd degree as to why he has never been to this restaurant. This is not a smart business approach. Avoid at all costs.
I enjoyed the food here but unfortunately the owner is a stiff.. He does not pay his employees properly and even goes as far as telling them that they don't deserve it, even if they have put in 40-60 hours a week! Bad business manners Sir..
18 for a plate of jerked chicken. The jerk chicken was overcooked. The outside was hard. The marinate on the jerked chicken tasted more salty then flavorful. They killed the chicken in my plate twice; once to cook it, and again when they tried to cook it.
Terrible customer service. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. They are extremely slow and rude. I went here on my lunch break and it took 10 minutes before the waiter asked us what we would like to order, and even when he asked us he was running around not giving us his full attention. When we finally got to order, half the items on the menu weren't available (including any Roti or stews). So we took a minute to decide what we wanted instead, and he RUSHED us! He said he's busy and for us to hurry up... This just boggles my mind. Not only did he NOT APOLOGIZE for having us wait, he RUSHED US like we were wasting his time. We didn't even bother eating here after that rude service and lack of menu. Don't bother wasting your time here.
