Quant park with a nice trail and local history.
Stopped in at this park with my 3 young children while out and about running errands in the Sports World shopping area. The Pioneer Tower is worth checking out, but it was locked up when we visited. There is a nice open green area to run around, a few picnic tables and a small play structure with a couple of swings. There is also plently of parking and access to the Walter Bean trail from this park. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this park, but if you need a place for the little ones to run around and have a snack after a Costco trip, this is a good stop.
Nice public park on the Walter Bean Trail in Deer Ridge just below the Pioneer Tower. it is a large open space field where kids can play ball, fly kites, at cetera there is also a kiddies Park with swings and climbing apparatus. it could use a few more trees but aside from that is great. in the spring it is totally covered and yellow dandelions makes a fantastic photo opportunity. also because it is right at the edge of the gorge to the river you can often see deer that come up to feed.
