What a great experience! Jim is a true professional and an overall outstanding guy. His knowledge for the game of golf is unprecedented. He has the ability to tweak minor details in your swing without readjusting everything. I was able to shave 4 strokes off my handicap just by practicing what he taught me over the course of 3 lessons. If you are looking for an instructor in the area Jim is 100% your guy.

James has been an amazing coach. I’ve been an avid golfer for 25 years and learn more and more from James at every lesson. His knowledge of the golf swing and course management is outstanding. His ability to explain a concept and guide you through a particular feeling of a new movement is amazing. I leave every lesson with a few key takeaways in order to improve. Had a great outdoor lesson with James early last golf season. He let me warm up and get some reps in before chatting to me about my swing. He shared some great knowledge on what I needed to work on with positive feedback from his Trackman technology. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for improvement.
My lessons with James this last year has added distance and accuracy to my game. Using the trackman on the range allows anyone to get exact numbers and James does a fantastic job with explaining all the trackman numbers in ways that anyone will understand. James also has an amzing understanding on nutrition and tournament preparation. I encourage anyone who wants to better their golf game to book a lesson with James, he's truly an amazing teacher.
I have struggled with my short game for as long as I can remember. I have had countless lessons & friends try and help coach my struggles, but all caused my game to get worse. My anxiety and fear of hitting a bad shot paralyzed me and my ability to play confidently around the greens. After one lesson, James Skrypec quickly understood my mechanics and the mistakes I was making and coached me to see the shot in a positive way. We built a strong foundation and continued to work on the mechanics and my confidence when approaching my short game. After a series of lessons I now feel confident and believe I can get the ball up and down from anywhere. His vision along with his direct approach has worked wonders for my confidence and my ability. Thanks to James for setting me on a path that will support my enjoyment of golf forever. James is positive, friendly, yet still demanding on his strategies which make him an outstanding coach and professional. I would recommend James to anyone that is looking to improve their game. I completed a set of 3 lessons with James this summer. As this being only my second year golfing, James improved my game immensely. My driver increased in distance about 40-50yards, with each of my irons increasing by 35. Currently I have knocked off about 5 strokes off my handicap this year alone. When teaching, he goes through the physics behind golf, and why certain things occur in different scenarios, which was something I had little to no knowledge on. 5/5 would recommend, and will be booking more lessons in the future.
Great experience, I’ve been working with James for over 2 years now and I’ve added both distance and improved accuracy. He uses the latest technology (Trackman and Hackmotion) and “The Lab at Deer Ridge” is a great place to continue your lessons year round and be ready when the course opens in the spring. Also provides simple concepts and drills for you to work on when the lesson is over.
