I usually go to Home Depot or Lowe's just out of default because a few years ago I became disappointed with the slightly higher prices at Rona. Well... no more. I was drawn back into Rona by a scratch and win promo they had last weekend and was absolutely blown away. 1) Prices were lower than the other two stores across the board, and I compared a lot of things. I cringe to think of how much money I've wasted over the years at the other stores, especially since Rona is actually closer to my home! 2) I visited and bought stuff at Rona this past weekend from flooring, paint, plumbing, moulding, kitchen, fixtures, and used their cut shop. I needed help in every section ("how-to" advice... I'm not a pro). In every section the staff was friendly, AVAILABLE, extremely knowledgeable, and very helpful. It was an amazing difference between going to Lowe's, pushing that help button, and waiting for 10 minutes for no one to show up or someone who can't help who comes just to turn off the help alert. There's no question I'm a convert. Rona is my new default go-to hardware store. I highly recommend you give them a try. I bet they'll make you a believer too.

Good promotions and very helpful staff. Was quite pleased with my experience here. Purchased stones for my fireplace wall at 20% off.

I've been going to this store for over 10 years. I liked it long ago when the staff and service were good and the store was kept up. Back then I picked it over Home Depot because I felt it was better. Since then it has been in steady decline and today I only go if I have no other option. Selection isn't great, finding someone who knows anything is pretty hit and miss, and even though I only go in knowing exactly what I want I find my time is wasted so often. Things aren't always where they should be and sometimes prices are missing and so on. It's just not that good. The contractor entrance is open sometimes, other times you walk up to it and it turns out to be closed but of course they don't give any clue, so now you have to waste time walking over to the other entrance which is the furthest from where you just parked. I also gave up on the cut shop years ago because of the wait time and restrictions. I could go on but basically everything that used to be good about the store no longer is. In fairness to the staff I have met some good ones who cared but that is the exception rather than the rule. I don't know how this store keeps competing against Home Depot and Lowes. I do not think it's a Rona problem in general - the Cambridge Rona is much better than this location. The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is that I have found it to be open sometimes when other stores are not (Sunday evening for example) so it serves a purpose in a pinch.

Great people like Dave to help us customers out. I prefer shopping here to Home Depot. Helpful and friendly people. Air miles. Contractor discounts. I hope this store keeps its underdog feel as it transitions to a Lowes in the very near future.

TERRIBLE customer service, stood in line at the customer service counter, 6 people behind the counter just laughing and talking to one and other. Until we said something they didn't gesture to assist us. We were returning items and when we asked to speak with the manager the customer service employee rolled her eyes when relaying our question to the manager over the phone. Saturday, Mar 18th they had 15% off on everything in the store for purchases over 100. We spent on our first purchase 349 before tax. We asked if we could take our purchase to the car and come back in and continue shopping and still get the 15%. We were told "yes" just show the cashier the receipt. On our second trip back into the store, we purchased about 50 worth of plants and potting mix. When we got to the till, they would not give us the 15% off. We walked away from our purchase. Something is going VERY WRONG with their training program. It is hard to believe that consistently staff would be rude, unwilling to help and complacent if trained to the contrary. The common theme when reading Rona's reviews are "customer service issues" simply the easiest thing to remedy.

As a contractor of 25 years, I feel it is safe to say that this location is by far the best as far as contractor sales go. They are friendly, professional and always go the extra mile for their clients. I work all across this country and deal with a large number of suppliers but this Rona location is truly the best of them all.

I'm sorry but having an associate / dick tell my 9 month pregnant wife to move a huge box up to the cash registers by herself instead of helping her while I was busy looking for a cart that she was told by the same dick the carts are all outside, the store manager needs to start finding his balls to put his workers back into customer satisfaction mode, the employees are f*!ed in this place
