A great lunch spot with various healthy options. The restaurant was cozy and had a good menu offerings. Wow! Pleasantly surprised this little known cafe/restaurant served such an amazing breakfast! Our group had a variety of different meals, and everything was hot, gresh and tasted fantastic! Very reasonably priced, and centrally located in downtown Kitchener!!!
Have visited Darlise Cafe for brunch several times- the service has always been pleasant and the owner(?) who is always there is lovely and makes great conversation. Breakfast options are a good selection, and the muffins of the day are a great touch! Prices are good as well! Definitely worth a visit.
We came here at noon on a Sunday. The entrance is recessed from the street, so it can be tricky to spot. It's right across the street from the Living Fresh flower studio and diagonally from the Walper Hotel. Finding a seat was fast, and coffee was brought out right away. The meals however were slow to come out. We had to ask for a coffee refill since we had finished our coffees well before the meal came. The server did not stop by to check on us until after the meals were delivered. Food taste was excellent. We had the banana chocolate crepes and smoked salmon scramble. Their jam was very tasty as well. If you are willing to wait and have lots of time, then this is a great brunch place. Don't recommend coming here if you are pressed for time though.
