I've been waiting for over 2 months for just getting an estimate from them. They asked for more information on a claim and then didn't get around to it for another month. They are super slow and everything they do and it appears to me that they're finding ways not to pay.

Look elsewhere for group policies. My wife was with GWL or ‘Canada Life’ through her company. She got cancer. Every time a new med was prescribed, it was denied at the counter, and a days worth of telephone tag to get only percentages covered. Then she passed,, beneficiary forms are sent in, only to get ‘lost’ at the incoming fax machine, and not notified about it. 6 weeks later an inquiry into is had, am told that the forms are needed again. 6 weeks after that,,, after another inquiry, am told that they won’t be getting their stuff together for another 6 weeks, due to the covid.. My own employer uses another company, and the great differences were noted between my wife and I. Human resource, manager , CEO, president, whatever you are to your company,, keep scrolling the rotten reviews and figure it out for yourself. Give your employees a stronger safety net.
The staff was professional and very helpful
No issues with GWL thus far. Surprised at the poor reviews. The coverage is great and the online app is easy to use. Reimbursement is quick and painless. I've received funds back as soon as one business day as opposed to waiting 2 weeks like with RWAM.
