Worst experience ever. Should have read the reviews. Every single one is 100% accurate. Google address says salon is in Kitchener which it’s actually in Cambridge. She constantly went from doing my hair to another girls hair. She had her husband come from upstairs to wash my hair. Hair brushes she used looked dirty and disgusting. She got annoyed when she didn’t cut my hair to the length that I asked and showed her. She literally just chopped my hair straight across. Didn’t soften or make the ends look nice. Convienced me to have my eyebrows threaded which they don’t need. Cut my skin a bunch of times with the tread. Salon is dirty and super messy. Not a nice experience at all. I have to have another haircut so I can get what I asked for in the first place. Total waste of money.

Definetly would recommend Zillay was very attentive and polite, ensuring my haircut was what I wanted, very personable and easy to talk to. Very friendly and positive atmosphere and 10/10 on my haircut I've been to at least 20 salons in the tri-city and I will say this is the first time I have a gotten a haircut that I love as well as I have 20 facial piercings and she was careful not to get any tools caught on any which is a first for me. She had also done some eyebrow threading which was quick, and well done. Price is very good as well as service all around if you're looking for a professional haircut as well as a good environment this is the place for you. (Address is in cambridge, for when you call confirm with her or her husband, they could not get into their Google account to change there address)
Just got my hair done here this morning and I am in LOVE with it. I got a cut, highlights and a base colour to lighten up the darkness in my natural colour. She was very patient and explained exactly how the colour system works so I could get the best results(given that my hair is very dark). I was extremely satisfied with the way my hair turned out. I would highly recommend her to anyone. Thank You Zillay!
My experience is very similar to Pauline's. The woman who runs this \salon\ has no clue what she's doing. I also foolishly purchased a 39.99 cut and highlights on Groupon as I was in a rush to get my hair done asap. As soon as I walked in and told her I had purchased a Groupon (which she knew when I called on the phone to make the appointment) she started telling me how stupid it was and how I should have come to her directly so the website wouldn't receive part of the payment. ( i would never have gone there in a million years if it wasn't for groupon) She told me that because my hair was long she'd have to charge me more than the 40 I paid on Groupon. I told her what I wanted and she kept trying to put other colors in my hair and of course kept trying to sell me products I didn't want in a really pushy fashion. I honestly started to have anxiety when she started putting foils in my hair because she clearly had no clue what she was doing, in fact I had to HELP her with the foils. She then washed my hair and the highlights came out yellow and she said if I wanted toner to make them blonde she would have to charge me an additional 15. I didn't even bother letting her try to cut my hair as I was too nervous. And she missed an entire section of my hair with the highlights. By the end of this horrible experience she ended up charging me 45 additional to the 40 I had paid to Groupon. Oh and when I went to pay she had no idea how to use her debit machine and kept asking me to wait until her husband came back. But I told her no as I had to work. I gave her 40 cash that I had in my wallet and she kept asking me if I had more and actually tried looking in my wallet to see if I had more. I eventually walked out while she demanded that I still owed her 5. All in all this was a hilariously terrifying experience. I ended up getting a refund from Groupon. This woman shouldn't be allowed to own her own business let alone cut hair!
