No question about the amount or the quality of the snow. Snowboarding in the trees is sublime however I would recommend using Geto's guide service if you're not familiar with the terrain. 3000 yen will get you guided into some of the deepest powder snow you're ever likely to encounter. You can stay in the hotel where you can stay in a communal dorm room inclusive of buffet dinner and breakfast or if in a small group you can rent a private room with very basic accommodation for about 10,000 yen pp. The onsen in the hotel is very nice too.

This mountain is awesome, lots of areas to cut through trees, and tons of powder. On this visit it was almost 4.5 meters (about 14 ft.) Facilities are really good too, there's a huge inside play area for kids with a large trampoline

Little hidden gem!!! Because the resort has only bunk beds, people looking for comfort will not come, because there is only one restaurant, foodie will not come, because there is only one onsen, spa seeker will not come, what’s left is the abundant slopes and tree runs with amazing powder! I absolutely love this place and spend whole week there is one of the best thing I ever did in ski resort. Because there is nothing else to do but go on slopes and ride the powder!!!!

The ski resort offers a free shuttle bus to the station for about 50 minutes; although the ski resort is small but fully equipped, there are ski slopes of various levels, ski equipment can be rented, and the food is delicious; I had a great time. But the hot spring was closed too early and there was no heater to dry the gloves, and my fingers often felt cold.

So far so good. After 2 weeks of pretty much no snow we finally hit pay dirt today with over 100mm of new fresh, which no doubt has most Japanese ski areas breathing a sigh of relief. For my first time here, & ignoring the low viz & high winds, i like what I've seen, & with around 4 chairlift's & 2 gondola's, the mountain has a varied terrain to keep all standards of skiers entertained for more than a few days. I'm looking forward to what tomorrow may bring.

Small resort, but the snow condition is awesome, no wonder it’s famous for powder! The hostel in the resort is not that fancy, but it’s clean and comfy.

Want the real Japow and back county? This is the place to be. That’s all that needs to be said. See you in the trees.

Powder ! Challenging tree run areas. Well equipped base station, even an onsen right there to relax after a powder day. The food in food court is not bad at all.
