6th Jan 2021 i attended my dads funeral. Ample parking with quiet grounds. Funeral was handled with care by staff. My concern is to do with the live stream. I find it concerning that family members and friends that attend to witness the final goodbye to a loved one are not supplied with a code for the online service and only the one who attends is given the code to share at their discretion. This is unacceptable if family members are at odds and may cause a feeling of power in individuals with questionable morals. I feel the staff would be better and more empathic by sharing that code with those who attend. I myself had no clue and was not made aware of such a code at my own fathers funeral.

Arrived for my brothers cremation and service to find the previous cremation was just ending this is an event when many persons come to pay respects to someone they knew it all got a bit confusing which party was with whom and to finish off at the end of our service we all went out into an even more busy car park and more confusion. To be fair it felt like a cattle market very impersonal. I understand that businesses need to make money but they could have a decent pause between cremations and services so we can have time to pay our respects and farewells to those that came to show respect we dont all live locally.

Took visitors round the gardens to visit my mum and dads plaque and was so embarrased. The place was so messy and unkept. Never seen such weeds in the flower beds. Really puts you off.

Went with my son in law to collect my daughter's ashes. Really appalling environnent. Entered Lodge as advised and only after a passing member of staff pointed to a bell on a counter did someone come to attend to us. (Passing staff member couldn't have informed anyone people were waiting, that would be too sensible, no a bell had to be rung). Person arrived, asked for details of deceased and again we were left standing in awful delapitated environment. We were subjected to hearing conversations between staff in other rooms. Eventually box arrived in a dusty black bag. To say the area is delapitated is mild. Being made to ring a bell for attention, stand in an area where all and sundry could come into and witness the process of identifying a casket of a loved one's ashes is beyond words. I was taken aback but that was nothing compared to how my son in law felt. Fife Council should be ashamed, surely such a process should be dealt with in a much more sympathetic and private manner.
