Especially in these covid times they are always so kind, caring and professional. Looked after my pug as if it was one of their own pets.

My Willow isn’t well and needs regular check ups. Not very understanding at first during Covid-19 and have more recently given me the impression that there are more and more vets and I never seen the same one twice. Some of them read the notes and others don’t and the ones that don’t just want to deal with her teeth and ignore the brain issue that Catherine Diagnosed. The place is just not the same without Catherine and I don’t feel supported at all. My beautiful cat needs care not judgment. UPDATE. The practice manager has been in touch and has reassured me and worked to help with a solution to assist Willow. We will see how it goes but maybe it’s just a few locums that have a different view and it isn’t the view of the practice

We have been coming to Kirkby Vets for the last 4 years. 5 months ago our beautiful fur baby Columbo was struck down with paralysis. Over the months we were never talked into by anyone or influenced over any choices we made as a family to look after and try to rehabilitate him at home. All staff were 100% supportive and professional despite the new regulations and restrictions of social distancing. There were also many changes for the surgery as a whole over the past months but Columbo's care was never compromised at all. After 5 months of trying everything we were advised that by now if he had not regained the use of his legs then sadly he would not walk ever again. Eventually Columbo became withdrawn, depressed anxious and even aggressive. This was the point we realised keeping him with us was not for his benefit but for our own selfish needs. Last Monday was the second worse day of my life this year as my lovely dad passed away a matter of weeks before Columbo took ill. Columbo helped me so much with my grief in some very dark times. Despite having to let him go over the rainbow bridge in the back of our car it was so peaceful and social distancing was abided by but never interfered with our special peaceful good bye. Mollie and Chris were amazing and really looked after us through the very difficult process. I want to thank all staff including Vets, nurses, clinicians, admin, clerical and management. We would like to extend a special thank you and recognise Chris and what a genuine amazing lady she has been with our family from day one. This practice were amazing to us at a sad unbearable time and I would not think twice about recommending them or our family returning some time in the future. Thank you all from the Mckevitt family xxx

Been taken over and just want your money! Took my rabbit knowing he needed to be put down as he really wasn’t right. Scottish vet seen to him and said he was fine, he just needs some pain medication for his teeth. The poor thing was squealing in pain and couldn’t walk as soon as we got him back. They said to bring him back and he died on the way, 20 minutes after they said he was fine! Don’t trust these people with your pets!!
