If the decor isn’t enough to bring your lunch up then the food really is. Ordered a cheeseburger which let’s be honest you can’t really go wrong with, but you could stick a rustlers between two bits of cardboard and come away happier than I am now. The mash that came with the pie and mash looked radioactive. 1/5 - wouldn’t come again.

Came here new years eve, had a great time! I'm gluten free and the staff were good at accommodating my needs, bar was a fair price.
Had a hearty meal there with friends after exploring Epping Forest. Friendly, helpful staff, reasonably priced, generous portioned good food. A charming surrounding with plenty of free parking nearby. Will definitely go back again.

It was a lovely sunny day and the kings oak in high beach is always a great place to go in such weather. The venue is steeped in history and the garden is vast enough to cater for all the sunshine visitors from across the county. There's lovely views from high up on the mound or you can walk down into the forest for some refreshing shade. It's a great place to come if you fancy some thing different amidst some lovely scenery
