Had lunch here today despite a few problems for the landlady the food was excellent. We had two classic burgers which were homemade and well cooked tasted delicious very filling. Would really recommend . The Pizza’s also looked delicious

The real ale choice was very limited and the Harvey's was not up to standard. It's difficult one, we're in the middle of a pandemic but other places I've visited have done better. The pizza's were excellent. It was just a shame that the two closest tables were both occupied by 4 persons who couldn't finish or start a sentence without using the F word. I presume the servers didn't fancy asking them to quieten it down. It's a lovely pub but needs to sort itself out or customers will not return.

Nice home-made food. BBQ burger a bit disappointing but chicken burger and pizza my family would recommend. Battle themed paintings on the wall were really interesting. Customer service nice.

Outstanding meal with great drinks. An old building with lots of character and atmosphere in a town full of history. The staff where very helpful and friendly. The meals where a little expensive but well worth it for quantity and quality. The pub is on a main road so there is no carpark but there is one near by Second visit to this pub and it's changed hands. The food was good, but not to the same standard as last year. The place was cold as people kept opening the back door. See attached photo
